I’ll be honest, I haven’t been as attentive to all things WoW over the past few days. The long weekend and holiday combined with some unexpected good weather was enough to draw me away from the computer and make me treat all things WoW with a good deal of “I’m sure it will be there when we get back”, which is probably the best attitude to have if you don’t want to be accused of being addicted to the game.
Although, who am I kidding? I have a blog about WoW, I play all the time, and I once woke my husband up in the middle of the night after a particularly late and grueling all-alt K-T fight by yelling “You’ve got to heal yourself!” in my sleep. I think I’m headed down the slippery slope. Just one raid picked over real life commitments, and I’ll be there. Luckily, I really prefer my real life to WoW, so I’ve managed to stave off full-blown addiction so far…
Regardless, the vacation is pretty much done, Midsummer Fire Festival decorations have been removed with ruthless speed and efficiency, and not even a whiff of fireworks hangs in the air over the capital cities. After two weeks of glutting Tazha (now Tazha the Flame Warden) as well as a variety of alts on various holiday achievements, it’s time to get back to normal with a healthy diet of progression raiding, dailies, and regular achievement-getting (the low-fat kind.)
Not to mention try and mentally process the fact that Blizzard will soon make it possible for Tazha to genetically alter herself into a girl-cow in order to hang around the local gin joint with Forsaken and blood elves instead of gnomes and humans. The mind, she boggles.
